Azura is located within the Bazaruto Marine National Park, on Benguerra Island, Mozambique. This eco retreat is reached via a 10 minute helicopter transfer from Vilanculos, or a 40 minute boat transfer from the port. The main lounge and Gekko Deck dining area is open sided and decorated in a modern chic style, complimented by traditional artworks and hand woven furniture beneath locally sourced wooden beams and a high-pitched thatched jekka roof. The stone clad Star Bar is at the edge of the lounge, peeping out from under the thatch where the wooden decking meets the beach sand. The 14 villas are set just a few steps from the beach. The wooden flooring and soft, pastel furnishings create a tranquil atmosphere and the twin or king beds are encased in draped mosquito netting. The en-suite bathrooms allow ocean views from the bath tubs or private showers beneath the stars. Each villa boasts a luxurious seaside sala and daybed covered with plump cushions, as well as a private deck and infinity plunge pool. Fill the turquoise days with diving, snorkeling, fly fishing and deep sea fishing and experience the local culture of the island. Be pampered at the Azura Spa.
