Mozambique enjoys some of Africa’s most beautiful reaches of the Indian Ocean and offers a perfect barefoot escape. Stepping onto the boat to Benguerra Island, you feel you could be sailing to a faraway land. Benguerra Island is undoubtedly a snorkeller and diver’s paradise as you discover the vast array of jewel-like fish and the extraordinarily shaped coral formations. Spend your time enjoying the sun, sand, sea and surf at Benguerra. Experience the thrill of crystal clear water and spectacular unspoiled reefs by snorkeling either in the waters at the lodge or around one of the reefs further out. For the more adventurous, the excitement of night or wreck dives is also an option! Wind surfers and an 11-foot catamaran are also available. The Mozambique Channel is famous for record size marlin and sailfish and we can promise tremendous fishing to both serious fisherman and beginner anglers. Accommodation is at Benguerra Lodge, offering thatch and reed chalet accommodation on stilted platforms overlooking the beautiful Benguerra Bay.
