  • With eight tented rooms, Chitabe offers a thoroughly intimate environment on a picture-perfect island in the Okavango Delta. Amidst the mopane and acacia bushveld and riverine forest in this private concession, an abundance of wildlife can be seen including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, tsessebe and impala among many others. Exploring the many corners of this wildlife-rich landscape is a treat on morning and evening game drives. On special night game drives, the moonlit landscape comes alive with nocturnal mammals such as the civet, serval, genet, porcupine and aardwolf. The captivating wildness outside is matched with en-suite, Meru-style luxury tents that blend into the natural setting and feature private decks as well as indoor and outdoor showers. In the main lodge, cool off in the pool, relax by the open campfire, enjoy a drink in the pub or savor a delicious meal in the thatched dining area?all with superb views across the floodplain.   • Intimate and inviting, Kwetsani is one of the most remote camps in the entire Okavango Delta. Five thatched tree-house chalets, thoughtfully constructed with wood, canvas and thatch, create a feeling of connection to the environment. Complementing your tent setting under the shade of palm, mangosteen and fig trees are elegant appointments: exquisite and thoroughly African decor, as well as en-suite facilities including a shower, twin basins and an additional outdoor shower. The camp is raised up on stilts in tranquil shade, and offers a wealth of ways to unwind: whether in the plunge pool, the tastefully decorated lounge or the dining room, you willl feel delightfully immersed in this remote wilderness. Guests can relax in their room and simply soak in the beautiful views across the vast and game-filled floodplain. Of course, the allure of the landscape eventually will prove too much: scope out the copious game here on day and night game drives, on leisurely walks along palm-fringed islands, or effortlessly gliding through the Deltas placid web of waterways. No matter which way you choose to explore, the landscape ripples with wildlife: lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, buffalo and elephant, as well as good concentrations of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and many more.

  • The name Duma Tau means roar of the lion, thrillingly appropriate for this well-placed camp set amid the untouched wilderness of the Savute Channel. As you explore the marshes, lagoons and grasslands here, the landscape comes alive with a spectacular diversity of animals, including lion, leopard, spotted hyena, the rare wild dog and, of course, the massive herds of elephant for which the region is known. There are many ways to discover the fauna here: on day and night game drives, the latter a unique and exciting insight into the lives of nocturnal species, or perhaps floating quietly through the reed-fringed channels in a traditional dugout canoe (water levels permitting). Nature walks take you through the Linyanti River and Savute Channel, and there are a number of platforms and well placed hides to surreptitiously snap photos of animals, it is an exciting immersion into a wild world. The camp itself is nestled under a shady grove of mangosteen trees, raised off the ground to overlook a large hippo-filled lagoon. The ten spacious tents are ideally situated to take advantage of the dramatic river views, and include classic safari touches: under thatch with canvas walls, outdoor showers (there?s nothing quite like a shower under the stars!) and en-suite bathroom facilities. Take a dip in the plunge pool during the afternoon, and in the cool of the evening enjoy a relaxing meal in the dining room or a cocktail in the pub, the perfect way to unwind after a day of safari.
