I won’t say it was the experience of a lifetime, because I fully intend to repeat it! We were fortunate to have several weeks to devote to several camps, and Yvette De Vries at African Portfolio came up with a cleverly designed two-country itinerary that not only minimized border crossings and backtracking, but subtly escalated the experience in terms of both accommodations and game sightings as we progressed from camp to camp. And when we had some extra time to spend in Africa and were interested in Egypt, she came up with a novel three-night Nile cruise on our own private felucca. Ras Kutani was the perfect pit-stop to relax and recharge for a few days after a whirlwind tour of Egypt and before a non-stop two-week safari. |
