  • Getting close to animals in their element, mere feet away, is one of the true pulse-pounding thrills of safari. And The Hide allows you to get as close as possible to the creatures of Hwange National Park in specially constructed hides cleverly disguised and tucked away. These comfortable, carpeted hides provide guests with an opportunity to see animals at extremely close quarters - to observe without being observed. And outstanding game-viewing is just one of the reasons The Hide has been voted Best Tented Safari Camp in Zimbabwe thirteen times. This luxury camp blends classic safari style with a contemporary flair. Each of the ten en-suite A-frame tented chalets has hot water showers, basins and flush toilets as well as a private verandah looking out over the waterhole. When not capturing photos of wildlife from the hides or your verandah, you can set off on day and night game drives and walks to see the buffalo, giraffe, lion and elephant (which can be seen in herds of 100 or more). Should you wish, you can spend a night away from the tent in the Doves Nest: sundowners followed by a bush dinner and a sleep-out under the stars. It is an awe-inspiring experience.
