Linyanti Adventurer Camp

The style of accommodation at Linyanti Adventurer Camp takes you back to the great days of African exploration. The 3m x 3m dome tents with shaded verandas provide excellent serviced and spacious comfort. Pure cotton linen bedrolls (with feather duvets) on GI stretchers, a teak bedside table with silver lantern and mini-luggage benches complement the atmosphere in pristine, wild camping areas. Separate flushing toilet and shower “bathrooms” (1 shower and 1 toilet enclosure per 4 guests) with old-style tin bucket showers, hand basins and all amenities create simple serviced comfort. The camp is set up under massive African ebony and knobthorn acacia trees overlooking the waterways of the Linyanti Swamps. Private activities include game drives in the private northern sector of the Concession exploring a range of habitats from riverbanks to scrub and forest, which reveal a myriad of wildlife moving slowly to the river to slake their thirst. Also on offer is a hammock lunch after a morning game drive at a secluded site, followed by a late afternoon canoe trip. The seldom-seen sitatunga antelope can also be spotted in the waterways in this area. The overall experience offers a personalised safari, meals prepared on a campfire in front of you and dining at table under the African stars, the evening camp bedecked with hurricane lanterns. A reasonable amount of drinks is included, from mineral water, soft drinks and fruit juice to beer and wine at meal times. This camp is only available as part of an Adventurer Safari scheduled departure trip such as the Botswana Adventurer.
