Memorable Kenya

Day 1 - Day 2
  • Transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to House of Waine
  • Nairobi’s leading boutique hotel, The House of Waine lies in Nairobi’s prestigious forested suburb of Karen. It is situated on 2.5 acres that blends the elegance of gracious living with the spirit of modern Africa in an exclusive and serene setting. There are 11 bedrooms that are all individually styled as well as conference facilities and a swimming pool. There is good access to the city, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Wilson Airport. The aim is to provide guests with an experience that exceeds all their expectations of city hotels and is punctuated by personalized, friendly and excellent service and cuisine in beautiful surroundings. As a recently renovated and converted house on the outskirts of Nairobi, House of Waine still retains much of the charm of a family home. Little has been done to change the structure of the house and so guests are assured of a relaxed and informal atmosphere where they can be free to do as much or as little as they like. That is not to say though that the House is lacking in the amenities present in any city hotel. They can still find a mini bar in each room as well as direct dial telephones, TVs with satellite and local channels as well as tea and coffee-making facilities with fresh flowers and pastries delivered daily to the room.

    Day 2 - Day 5
  • Transfer from House of Waine to Wilson Airport
  • Safarilink scheduled flight Wilson - Samburu
  • Saruni Samburu is a design lodge located on Kalama Conservancy next to Samburu National Reserve, in Kenya’s wild North. Surrounded by a 95,000 hectares private reserve and perched on top of a spectacular viewpoint, its villas and its swimming pool overlook waterholes where the famous Samburu elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe and Grevy zebra gather to drink. The vastness and the purity of this African landscape, combined with the untouched local culture, will make your wildlife safari a different experience. Accommodation is in six houses (2 of them are large family villas with two separate bedrooms and bahrooms) with ensuite facilities, a large swimming pool with dramatic view over Samburu, an area for massage and beauty treatments called Samburu Wellbeing Space, and several areas to use as hides or view points for the waterholes that attract elephant, reticulated giraffe, zebra, oryx and all the species that make Kalama so special. Saruni Samburu has its own private airstrip near the Kalama Wildlife Conservancy headquarters, but it is also easily served by the other airstrips of the area where scheduled flights land. Activities include morning, afternoon and night drives in Kalama Conservancy, rock climbing, professionally-led game walks, bush dinners and star gazing. The traditions and semi-nomadic heritage of the local Samburu people are an important part of the experience. Led by professional Samburu guides, guests enjoy a new dimension of this rightfully popular region: the feeling of exclusivity, of having an incredibly large area totally to their own, and a high level of comfort and tailor-made service.
