Selinda Walking Trails Camp is situated within a special area that has been set aside in "The Selinda" for walking safaris. Located in the northern reaches of the reserve, the walks follow the time-worn trails of elephant & antelope through riparian forest and open plains. Typically, guests undertaking a Walking Safari, start at of one of the permanent camps (Selinda or Zibalianja). The safari then walks onto Mokoba and Tshwene Trails camps, with a night at each, before ending at the other permanent camp for the final night. The camp consists of three custom designed, twin tents on high decks with open verandah and flysheet. The high decks allow for a "sleep out" option. Half bathrooms (flush toilet and basin) are "en-suite" at ground level. Hot and cold water is replenished on request. A secluded, open air "ablution deck" is shared by safari participants. Twin bucket showers, plenty of hot water and spectacular views are the norm. Lighting is rechargeable 12V DC. Charging facilities for cameras are available. There is a limited number of adapters, however. A full bar and refreshments are available and guest preferences are determined prior to departure. Laundry is done daily free of charge. No camp is complete without the traditional campfire for evening tales and early morning coffee. All meals are table'd hôte both prepared and enjoyed outdoors. Meals generally consist of a light breakfast at dawn, a midday lunch, afternoon tea and a three-course dinner. Special diets are catered for on request.
