The in-house Monneaux Restaurant is rated as one of South Africa's best and serves an inspired fusion of Western and Eastern influences. Lunch is served on the magnificent fountain terrace and dinner in the relaxed, yet elegant dining room. The wine list emphasizes some of the top wines of the region. The Country House offers 14 luxury rooms - most lead out onto balconies or private patios. All rooms have expected luxuries and amenities including satellite TV, direct dial telephone.   • Jock Safari Lodge incorporates the romance and elegance of the past colonial era, and reflects in its unique style the indigenous Zulu and Shangaan cultures. This luxurious lodge is situated in the southern area of the Kruger National Park, half way between Skukuza and Malelane. Magnificent trees and an abundance of bird life surround the Lodge. Twelve individual thatched suites, screened by lush trees and reed walls, offer guests utmost luxurious privacy, creating a unique experience of gracious old world elegance surrounded by unspoilt wilderness. Each suite, with queen or twin beds enveloped in a canopy of voluptuous white netting, has its own personal “sala” (thatched viewing deck), plunge pool, romantic Victorian ball and claw bath, his and her vanities and outdoor shower. The suites have been built overlooking the rivers and offer breathtaking river bed frontage, bushveld vistas and game viewing. Morning and evening drives are offered in covered 4x4 Landrovers conducted by highly experienced rangers. Enthralling sightings of elephants, a sea of buffalo horns rising from the grass as they lie resting in the growing heat as well as prides of lions, awaits one. At dusk, a vantage point is chosen overlooking one of the many breathtaking vistas of the Kruger National Park. Sundowners are enjoyed while tales of the bush are told. En route back to the lodge, nocturnal animals such as leopard, hyena and lion are often seen. Walking Safari’s are encouraged, after a hearty breakfast, moving through the veld enjoying vistas of unsurpassed beauty and discovering one’s place in the cycle of nature. The diversity of fauna and flora in this unique concession truly comes alive when viewed on foot.

  • It's a vast, wild place where the lions roam at Shumbalala Game Lodge, deep in the Thornybush Game Reserve, one of the country's great tracts of untamed game-viewing. Set in a dry savanna of Mopane, Acacias and Umbrella thorns, quartered by easterly-flowing rivers densely shrouded in giant figs, fever trees and phoenix palms, the land is an ancient tapestry of natural wonder. Set under shady African trees lining the seasonal Monwana River, the Lodge features superior suites with privacy and luxurious comfort in mind, comprised of a bedroom and lounge, en-suite bathroom, large glass sliding doors and private viewing decks with a view over the ever active water hole. Standard amenities include overhead fans and air-conditioning as well as open fireplaces for the cooler winters, and designer "picture window" bathroom suites providing a romantic African atmosphere. Relax in the lounge or on your private viewing deck, read a book or just soak up the tranquility, smells and sounds of the bush that surround you! Enjoy the unspoiled nature of the African bushveld with its dramatic vistas in the comfort and luxury of your superior suite. Your knowledgeable and experienced ranger conducts professional early morning and late afternoon / evening game drives in an informative and relaxed fashion in fully equipped custom built game viewing vehicles. Your qualified ranger will be happy to share all their knowledge of the bush - from the prized big five (leopard, lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino) to the smaller game, plants, trees, insects and more. The game viewing at night offers the opportunity to view the nocturnal animals including the possibility of lions out on the prowl.
