  • Zarafa Camp, overlooks the Zibadianja Lagoon - the source of the world famous Savute Channel. The Camp evokes a sense of old-style safari with its four large, luxuriously appointed double or twin, marquis style tents. Hosting a maximum of eight guests, the emphasis at Zarafa Camp is on offering a personalized and private experience to guests - perfect for those who favour a more intimate experience or those who prefer the entire camp for their own, exclusive use. Each tent and veranda is spacious, positioned under cool and shady trees with breathtaking vistas of the Zibidianja Lagoon. A large bedroom, en-suite bathroom, featuring a copper bath and both indoor and outdoor showers, are standard. The main area at the Camp is furnished in the same campaign style as the tents and evokes the traditional safari ambiance of the turn of the 20th century. Short guided nature walks from camp are encouraged, to introduce guests to some of the less prominent wildlife of Botswana. All of the Chobe National Park wildlife is present around Zarafa Camp with a varied bird and mammal community. Abundant plains game can be found here including lechwe, kudu, buffalo, zebra and giraffe. It is also a predator-rich reserve including cheetah, wild dog, lion, and leopard. The massive herds of elephant are another highlight while a wide variety of birds - some 300 or more - can be seen.

  • On a remote island in the Okavango Delta sits Jao, a nine-tent escape in the heart of a peaceful private reserve. The plains and waterways here are brimming with a diverse range of fascinating species including elephant, leopard, wildebeest, hippo, crocodile and a number of colorful bird species which can be viewed on game drives as well as by boat or mokoro (a traditional dugout canoe). Yet guests need not even leave camp to see the copious wildlife in this reserve: views of the surrounding landscape are ideal from your private deck or the outdoor sala (which also works well for breezy midday siestas). Wildlife is just one of the reasons to love Jao. You can indulge massage treatments from the resident therapist, work out at the gym or visit the salon, relax in the two plunge pools or even head out on the placid waters of the Delta for some fishing.
