  • An intimate camp run by the local Masai community, Maramboi Tented Camp takes full advantage of its location between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara. In every direction, there is a stage upon which the drama of the bush plays out: the exposed grasslands nearby are a wildebeest stomping ground during the migration every year, and the wet season attracts huge flocks of bright-plumed flamingos to Lake Manyara. In the midst of this varied wilderness, you will enjoy the comforts of home in one of the 30 spacious tents here. Each en-suite tent is raised up on wooden decking and offers a spacious private veranda from which to gaze out upon this spectacular landscape. In addition to the swimming pool on site, a great place to cool off while looking out over the endless plains, there is a lounge area where guests can relax and a small library where they can peruse books on the wildlife of the region and brush up on the species the will see. Once you are ready to explore, you can join the expert guides here on game drives or on walking safaris, being sure to keep an eye out for the massive array of mammals here as well as 400 species of birds.
