Transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Coffee Lodge
Arusha Coffee Lodge lies in a tranquil coffee plantation, close to the Arusha airport and makes it an ideal stay for the start or end of a safari to Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Situated on the Burka Coffee Estate – a coffee plantation spanning 2100 acres – this is the first small luxury lodge in Arusha. As it is a working farm, you are able to observe the roasting process, taste the aromatic coffee blends and purchase fresh coffee beans. The lodge offers 20 private chalets, each with en suite shower, bath and separate toilets. The chalets are built on raised wooden platforms with multi-level bedrooms; log fireplaces, private lounges and huge balconies overlooking Mount Meru and the plantation. In addition, each chalet features a mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, safes and hairdryers; each chalet also has its own coffee grinder and percolator in the spirit of a true coffee estate experience. Meals are served at Redds African Grillhouse or outside in the gardens, where the extensive menu features an exciting array of traditional Tanzanian cuisine as well as variety of other African specialties. Shades of red and autumnal hues in the restaurant creates a warm, cozy atmosphere and on cool evenings, log fires are lit in the dining room with campfires outside for those wishing to dine alfresco. The lodge also boasts boutique shops set around the swimming pool, a bar and bar terrace.
Travel overland from Arusha to Maramboi Tented Camp (approximately 2 hours)
Maramboi Tented Camp is situated in a beautiful and exotic location on the shores of Lake Manyara. Just 140 km from Arusha and 18 km from Tarangire National Park, the camp offers spectacular views, endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara. Accommodation is in 16 spacious tents, each with an en suite bathroom and private verandah. The camp offers stunning views of the Manyara National Park, the Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai, a sacred mountain to the Maasai and Kilimanjaro Mountain. In the wet season, the Manyara and Tarangire Pans fill with water, attracting huge flocks of flamingos and other wading birds. The exposed nature of the grassland surrounding Maramboi Tented Camp provides a stage for the magnificent migration spectacle and offers visitors unrivalled views of this natural wonder. Activities include game drives, guided walking safaris, birding on the shores of nearby Lake Manyara and cultural interaction with the Datoga and Masai people, whose boma populate the adjacent land.

Day trip to Lake Manyara National Park
Ngorongoro Farm House is an exclusive lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano, in Ololdukan, situated in a 500 acre coffee farm located only 4 kms from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Lolduare gate. The Farm House provides an original experience reminiscent of the original pioneering days. Three separate and intimate camps of 40 comfortable bungalows have been attractively built in the style of an old colonial farm and rustically decorated with local materials, with the purpose of offering guests an imaginary journey to the Tanzania days of old. Each spacious bungalow has an en suite bathroom and private verandah facing the Rift Valley. The huge main building, covered with an elegant thatched roof, contains the reception, bar, dining area, library and lounge with a fireplace where guests can enjoy a rest during the cool evenings in the highlands. Simiyu Camp is periodically moved so that it is always as close as possible to either the migrating wildebeest or resident game. There are three different locations during the year, allowing guests to be close to the great Serengeti migration. Each of the eight spacious tents comes with private en-suite bathroom facilities, separate w.c.’s and romantic alfresco bucket showers, while the bedroom areas are furnished with a comfortable beds, dressing tables, safari chairs and wardrobes. A spacious private verandah is ideal for relaxing during the heat of the day, and at night 240volt solar generated electricity is available for reading or charging camera batteries. Competent chefs produce wholesome and delicious bush cuisine served in the dining tent, and the bar is open until all guests retire for the night. With maximum five guests per vehicle, window seats are guaranteed on the twice daily game drives.
