The interiors are warm and colonial, with deep couches, dark woods and wing-back chairs on cool screed flooring. The guest lounge and dining areas are under canvas, surrounded by sliding glass doors, opening out to wide wooden decking and outdoor seating, shaded by sections of pole canopies and trees. There are 9 luxurious tented suites, constructed with solid interior walls and concrete floors, framed by canvas exteriors. All the suites are air-conditioned and have overhead fans, as well as mini bars and tea and coffee stations. The twin or king beds don crisp white linens, with textured throws in earthy tones, surrounded by quality dark wood furnishings and mosquito curtaining. The en-suite bathrooms offer huge bath tubs placed beside the windows, as well as indoor and outdoor showers. Each suite has a comfy lounge area, which opens out to a private viewing deck and plunge pool, where you can enjoy views of the gorge and glorious sunrises and sunsets. For your convenience, the camp offers two complimentary transfers into Victoria Falls town on a daily basis, giving you the opportunity to do the various activities as well as explore the Falls. You can also go on walks and do some birding on the Wildlife Sanctuary and you have the chance to interact with the Wild Horizons elephants.
Situated adjacent to Linyanti Bush Camp, Linyanti Ebony is in a private concession on the banks of Linyanti Marsh which borders the western boundary of Chobe. Xakanaxa Camp is situated in a prime location in the famed Moremi Game Reserve. It is set on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, and is one of the very first Botswana safari camps. The main building is open-sided and houses the elegant lounge, library and dining room, leading out to an expansive sundeck, plunge pool and sala with a relaxing day bed, extending over the Khwai River. There is also a campfire deck, under giant Jackalberry trees where the crackling flames are reflected on the Delta waters. Traditional safari cuisine is accompanied by excellent South African wines and generally served around the main dining room table, softly lit by hanging lanterns. The 13 Meru-style canvas tents are set on raised platforms to maximize the views over the surrounding lagoons and islands. These luxury tents have large gauze windows, cooling fans and unique wood carved. The en-suite bathrooms include open-air hand wash basins and showers under partial canvas, hair dryers, fluffy towels and quality amenities. The doors open out to private viewing decks. This intimate family run camp enjoys generator power by day, and at night all the lighting is supplied by battery powered lamps, candles and paraffin lanterns, giving the camp a truly authentic African ambience. Enjoy game drives on open safari vehicles, or glide through the water on Mekoro. There are also motorized boats available for relaxing game viewing and sunset cruises all year round on the permanent flowing river in front of camp.
