Your safari begins at Sussi Lodge, which is situated in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and overlooks the Zambezi River. Accommodation is in luxurious tree houses each with a private view of the river. The Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park is best known for its giraffe and white rhino but also boasts buffalo, zebra, sable, eland, wildebeest, migratory elephant and many other species. Activities available at the lodge include: game drives, guided bush walks, canoeing, river cruises, cultural visits to nearby villages, visits to the Falls themselves and as optional extras, a choice of all the adrenaline activities for which the area is famous. After two nights you transfer by chartered flight to Lechwe Plains tented camp in Lochinvar National Park. Lochinvar has been declared a World Heritage Wetlands site and is a bird watchers paradise with over 400 species recorded it is also the last stronghold of the Kafue Lechwe, an aquatic antelope of extraordinary grace. The exotic and beautiful Lechwe Plains Tented Camp is an African fantasy under canvas. The tented lodge, built onto teak decking, shelters under a mature grove of acacia trees on the edge of the wide Chunga Lagoon. Activities available from the lodge include: guided walks, game drives, excursions in dug-out canoes, cultural visit to traditional fishing villages. You continue your safari with a flight to Mfuwe International and then a game drive to Chichele Presidential Lodge in South Luangwa National Park, formerly a private Presidential retreat, Chichele occupies one of the most breathtaking sites in the entire park. In order to exploit the wonderful floodplain vistas offered by the site, 10 elegant Victorian style lodges are built along the edge of the hillside, giving each lodge a private panoramic view. The Park is noted for big game species particularly leopard, lion and elephant and a whole host of antelope species. Game drives by day and night in four wheel drive vehicles or game walks in the company of armed professional guides, ranging from short excursions to all day trips are the activities on offer.
